Designing the astro21c web site was a straightforward enough exercise involving the usual blend of getting a suitable theme and then employing the appropriate html and css, and we are pleased enough with the outcome. Our decision to create a virtual presence in the the 3D world of Second life however posed some unique questions, should it appear similar to the web site? Should we buy one of the many corporate looking buildings that are for purchase inworld? We spent a long time agonising in considering these questions. Finally we came up with an idea that was unusual to say the least, and one that would not be so readilly available for a web site, a home spun modular design arranged into the shape 21! What about the C you may ask, well that is coming, and we hope you will find the concept intriguing and possibly even fun.Wednesday, 16 July 2008
