Established as an independent company in support of the UK Civil Space Strategy 2008-2012, the mission of astro21c is to deliver practical introductions in the space related technologies of satellites, rocketry and telescopes for schools and colleges. We further encourage and support the future ambitions of our customers in this exhilarating field by facilitating the showcasing of their work using our Moodle platform and Second Life Web 3D technology.
We have recently added a new feature to our Life on Mars sim that allows you to wander around the red planet and look interesting features and rocks that have been analysed by one of the Mars rovers. Touching on one of these will produce a notecard containing a brief description along with web links for more detailed information; very much kind of Sl web quest approach. You will also see from the screen shot that we have also included a Mars globe with pin marker for the location. Feel free to teleport over and explore any time, Aso
