Our move into on-line sales of virtual items in Second Life is looking promising, and this has inspired us to branch out into Solar technology. How does this actually relate to space? Well solar relies upon the Sun and much of the technology particularly with regard to solar voltaic cells is driven principly by developments in powering deep pace probes, so basically we feel that it fits very well. Using the title of 'Aso’s Solar Homes', why the name Aso you may ask? Well thats because Aso is the first name of our virtual world avatar at Spaceport UK, Astro21c’s virtual presence in Second Life.
Every residence will feature a set of functioning solar powered resources that include the following
A wind turbine
Solar panel (cells)
Solar Collector
Each produces power in the form of Watts that can be both displayed for information and actually used in applications i.e. heating, lighting, cooking etc etc.
Now at highly competitive prices, small footprint and low prim usage, you too can experience life in a functioning solar home. The screen shot above shows Solaris, our first solar home in the new range.
