An interactive island

With our documentation at an advanced stage of completion and the website all completed but for the need to upload some new images, virtually all the work for some months now has been going into the development of our presence in Second Life. This particular aspect of the project was always going to absorb a significant proportion of the development, but a while ago it was decided that the most important aspect of the facility should be function and not content. To that end we now have functioning rocket simulations, interactive displays and 3D tutorials that cover satellite technology, star charts and rocketry. As to the future of the island facility a region for users to come along and take building classes is now becoming a real possibility.
